supper scenes III - matisse
after two movies, a painting. On Matisse's oeuvre, reclining ladies with little clothing toggles with a few tables, kind of still-lifes, but not as an artist's skills showcase representing real life. On Matisse's tables , like all his other work, drawing and painting are the same, as master used to say; the only difference are the media: drawing's are meager, painting's are plus, and that is here, on the fattier side of art, that color, the artist's prima donna emerges.
